Autin Peay at Tennessee State

First let me say we caught another bad break last night with the Hornets and Rockets game going to overtime to push that game over the posted total. Again I have to regroup and jump back on the horse today and see what I have on tap.
Austin Peay invades the Gentry Center in Nashville Tennessee tonight looking to keep that perfect Ohio Valley Conference record in tact while Tennessee State is looking to move up in the conference standings and cut that Austin Peay lead.
Opening Line:
The Sprtsbooks opened tonight’s game with Austin Peay being a 5 point road favorite. The total on this game opened at 139. I have seen some movement already on the line and the total. As of right now the line has moved down to -4.5 and even -4 on Austin Peay with the total now at 138.5 at some of the books.
Austin Peay:
Austin Peay Governors (12-6, 6-0) come into this matchup tonight off a 10 point road win at Tennessee Martin their last time out as a 12.5 point favorite. The Governors really had to fight in that game being down by 9 at half time but came out and outscored Tennessee Martin by 19 points in the second half to get the road win.
The Governors have played well so far in conference play going 6-0 and 4-2 ATS in those games. Austin Peay has played 4 road conference games and is 4-0 in those games going 3-1 ATS. The Governors this year have though had their road struggles. Austin Peay does average 72.5 points per game on the road but their defense has allowed 72 points per game. The Tigers have started conference play 4-2 while going 5-1 ATS (3-0 ATS as an underdog). The success for the Tigers in conference play has come from both sides of the ball. Tennessee State is averaging 66 points per game on the offensive side of the ball while allowing just 62.7 points per game on defense. The Tigers are shooting 40% from the three point line and shooting 76.8 % from the free throw line in conference play.
Final Thought:
Austin Peay has a very impressive record so far in conference play. This team is playing great basketball right now winning 5 straight by an average margin of victory of 14.4 points per game. They are though going to head into a hostile environment tonight going up against a team in Tennessee State that is 4-1 at home this year while going 2-0 ATS, looking for another upset win on their home floor like they had back on 12/19/10 against Morehead State as a 7.5 point underdog. I believe that Tennessee State keeps this game closer then what the bookmakers think. My personal numbers have Austin Peay winning this game by 3 but I could actually see another upset from Tennessee State today. I will take the points watch them keep this game close and take it down to the wire.
