Texas at Oklahoma State

January 26th 2011 12:04
Alright folks we got back to winning ways with a solid play on Colorado last night. I am now 4-1 the last 5 days with the free plays. I will be looking to keep that streak going tonight with the Big 12 matchup between Texas and Oklahoma State the game that a lot of people forgot about due to the SD State and BYU game.

Texas comes into this game as the #8th ranked team in the Country with a huge road win over Kansas their last time out as a 7 point road underdog. Texas is 16-3 on the season and 4-0 in conference play so far. Texas has actually played really well away from home this year. The Longhorns are 5-2 SU away from home and 6-1 ATS in those games. Texas though is just 1-1 ATS as a favorite away from home this year. Texas is averaging 70 points per game away from home this season and allowing just 60.8 points per game. The Longhorns are going to have their hands full tonight against a high octane offensive team in Oklahoma State.

Oklahoma State comes into this game having a decent season themselves so far. The Cowboys are 14-5 this season but a disappointing 2-3 in conference play. Oklahoma State’s is 9-0 at home this year while going 4-0 ATS. The success for the Cowboys at home has been their explosive offense. The Cowboys are averaging 79.2 points per game while shooting 48.9% on their home floor with an offense efficiency of 1.126. The defense has not been a slouch for this team either allowing teams to average 66 points per game while letting teams shoot 40% on their home floor. The Cowboys are 1-0 SU and 1-0 ATS as a home underdog this season.

This is going to be a very tough test for Texas tonight. They are coming of a huge road win and now have to go back on the road in conference and play a team that has had great success this year at home. Will Texas mentally be ready for this game or is this going to be a letdown for them? Look for the fans tonight to be pumped up and really into this game tonight. Oklahoma State is going to lay it all on the table tonight and I would not be surprised if they upset this Texas team. To play it safe take the points with the home dog and let’s cash another winning ticket.

Don’t forget to jump over to my paid plays today. I have some strong NBA plays that are going to crush the books tonight.

Texas is far too good to lose this game. They look like a focused team-unlike last year- and they are obviously extremely talented. Beating Kansas is no easy feat.

Oh you are right. Texas is very talented and they should make a strong run at a National Championship. The situation they are in tonight is not easy tough. It is tough for any team to win on the road in conference an especially to cover a line against a team that has great success this year on their home floor. Texas could easily win this game and blow Oklahoma State out of the building. Though you really have to think about the mental state they will be in though. They are coming in after knocking Kansas off who is a top team in the country and on their home floor to snap their home winning streak. I just feel that they will not be completely ready for this game. I could be wrong but I have seen this same situation a ton of times and more times then not the underdog gets the job done.

I'm just disappointed I can't get the BYU game at home. I can see the Texas game on national TV, but not the BYU game? Bogus.

Yeah messed up watching Texas and Oklahoma State and not BYU and San Diego State. Texas will win today, though the Cowboys could pull off the shocker for all the people from ten years ago being remembered.
